Midwest Roots and a Curious Mind

Welcome to the Chronicle of Curiosity blog exploring history, science, and oddities. I’m a writer with Midwest roots and a restless imagination. I grew up on a rented farm where the screen door squeaked, the wind howled, and the cows next door seemed to know more than they let on. While other kids played ball or crashed bikes, I was deep in books or filling notebooks with stories.

My first serious try at writing came in high school. I wrote a scrappy little sci-fi story about my friends and me saving the world—or at least surviving high school. It wasn’t perfect, but it lit a fire in me. That story showed me that writing could be more than a hobby. It could be a way to explore everything strange, forgotten, and fascinating.

The Chronicle of Curiosity blog exploring history, science, and oddities was born out of that same spark. This blog is where I dig into hidden stories, weird science, and overlooked moments from the past. If it’s bizarre, mysterious, or just plain cool, I want to write about it.

I believe curiosity is one of our best traits. It drives us to ask questions, chase stories, and understand the world in new ways. Whether it's the forgotten invention that changed everything or a historical event that never made the textbooks, I want to bring it to life for you.

So pull up a chair and stay awhile. Let’s explore the dusty corners of history, the strange facts that make science fun, and the oddities that make life a little more interesting. If you're the kind of person who always wants to know more, you're in the right place.
